Tipi di proteine

Le proteine sono le macromolecole che più abbondano dentro la cellula. Ognuna di loro ha una funzione specifica, ma non tutte sono uguali, per questo hanno una classificazione, che determina i diversi tipi di proteine. Questa classificazione è utile per relazionarle con la funzione che compiono.

Le proteine sono macromolecole che si trovano in stato colloidale, rappresentano più del 50 % del peso secco della cellula.

Le proteine sono composte per amminoacidi, esistono 20 amminoacidi diversi che si uniscono tra loro per legami polipeptidi.

Per una migliore comprensione di quello che sono le proteine, quali sono le loro proprietà, come agiscono, ecc., le proteine si classificano in diversi modi:

Classificazione di proteine

Per il tipo di proteina

  • Proteine semplici: Sono quelle che al idrolizzarsi (disfarsi) solo producono amminoacidi.
  • Proteine coniugate: Sono quelle che al idrolizzarsi, producono amminoacidi e altri composti organici e inorganici. Queste possono essere: metalloproteine, nucleoproteine, fosfoproteine.

D’accordo alla loro conformazione:

  • Proteine fibrose: Sono quelle formate per catene polipeptidi, formando strutture compatte chiamate fibre. Ad esempio: collagene, cheratina, elastina.
  • Proteine globulari: Sono formate da catene polipeptidi che adottano una forma sferica. Ad esempio: enzimi, anticorpi, ormoni.

Sapere quali sono i diversi tipi di proteine e qual è la sua classificazione è di molta utilità, per capire che funzioni compiono le diverse proteine dentro l’organismo, che ci permettono di mantenerci sani.
